Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 Review James Gunn's Rocket and Gamora Story Wins Fans' Hearts

Entertainment News Desk, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Review The third volume of Guardians of the Galaxy primarily deals with Star Lord and Gamora’s love story as well as Rocket’s back story. This is the last Guardians film from director James Gunn. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is the 32nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first film of this superhero trilogy of writer-director James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy, was released in the year 2014. This James film is one of Marvel’s best films. Its second installment ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ was released in the year 2017. Now the third and last film of this series ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3’ is releasing in theaters on 5th May. The Guardians, a community of people with unique faces, reside in Nowhere, which is their headquarters. Gamora (Zoe Saldana) was killed in Avengers: Infinity War. After she leaves, Peter (Chris Pratt) aka Star-Lord is still grieving. He is unaware that Gamora is still alive and remains lost in his memories.

Early in the film, Hyena (voice of Bradley Cooper) becomes the victim of a fatal attack. The entire team unites to save him. Gamora is reluctantly drawn into it, but she has forgotten everything. She doesn’t remember anything about her relationship with Peter. You have 48 hours to save Rocket’s life. The story of the film runs on two tracks. A track in the present day, in which Peter and his team are tasked with saving Rocket. They are in search of a password that can save Rocket’s life and stop the man who is following him. Rocket’s story, on the other hand, is played out in flashback, in which the powerful and obsessed scientist High Evolutionary (Chakwudi Iwuji) has genetically modified Rocket, other animals and even children. They have developed such a technique, through which changes of millions of years can be brought about in any living being in a few moments. He wants to settle this species in his fictional planet Utopia.

Rocket is at the center of the story, but Star-Lord leads the story. This time the love story between Gamora and Peter doesn’t affect the script like in the previous two films. Volume 3 deals with the reunion of Peter and Gamora, as well as Rocket’s birth and past. The segment gives Peter and Gamora the opportunity to portray their distinctive chemistry. Villain’s character has not been written properly in the film. The movie mentions 48 hours to save the rocket, but it doesn’t add much excitement. The duration of this science fiction action comedy film is also long. The film, while less fun than the previous two films, still has thrilling episodes of action and romance in between. It has given Zoe Saldana a chance to live her character in a whole new way, which she has done beautifully. This shows that she can carry such a film on her shoulders.

It is the same with rockets. Complementing Bradley Cooper’s brilliant voice, computer graphics make his face, movements and gestures incredibly believable. Dave Batista as Drax has given a stellar performance. His chemistry with Pam Klementieff is sizzling. Pam as Mantis brings a lot of laughs. Groot (voice of Vin Diesel) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) return in their familiar avatars. In his last film, James does his best to make the audience giggle and cheer with a happy ending.
